摘要
Results are presented of thermodynamic calculations of the equilibrium compositions of the combustion products in the system ″high sulfur-content natural gas - air″ to clarify the role of the atomic and molecular oxygen in the formation of SO//3. Calculations were made for temperatures from 200 to 3000 K in the region 0. 6 less than equivalent to alpha less than equivalent to 1. 5 at the pressure of 1 kgf/cm**2 in the combustion chamber, for natural gas with 2% of H//2S. It is concluded that molecular oxygen plays a decisive role in the formation of SO//3 by oxidizing SO and So//2 to So//3.
