摘要：
Rapid growth in population and other factors have led to heavy loads of waste matter on the existing sewage treatment and disposal facilities in a number of towns and cities. The operating staff find it extremely difficult to cope with such rising pollution loads of wastes to be treated on one hand and higher standard of effluent quality wanted by the pollution control authorities on the other. This paper discusses some simple and practical solutions to deal with the situation pending further expansion of the facilities.
