摘要：
An integral equation technique to determine the response of foundations embedded in a layered viscoelastic half-space when subjected to various types of seismic waves is presented. The technique is validated by comparison with previous results of rigid hemispherical and cylindrical foundations embedded in a uniform half-space. Illustrative results for rigid cylindrical foundations embedded in layered media are also presented.
