EXPERIENCE IN MAINTAINING A COKE BATTERY HEATING REGIME WITH A MIXTURE OF COKE OVEN AND NATURAL GASES.

At the Karaganda Integrated Iron and Steel Works of the USSR, in the period between adjustments on coke batteries no. 1-4 there is a redistribution of the temperatures along the heating walls due to the appearance of deposits in the battery heating system. The burnout and blowout of the regenerator checkerwork, especially for the gas regenerator, is an effective means of restoring the temperature distribution along the heating wall. The burnout and blowout of the regenerator checkerwork should be performed at least once a year.
