GOOD TELEVISION RECEPTION, PARTICULARLY WITH COLOUR SETS, IS GENERALLY TAKEN OR GRANTED TODAY BY MARINERS, BUT TO ACHIEVE SATISFACTORY OPERATION ON SHIPS TRAVELLING IN INTERNATIONAL ROUTES REQUIRES THE INJECTION INTO TV SETS OF A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TECHNICAL EXPERTISE. THIS ARTICLE EXPLAINS HOWSHIPOWNERS CAN SELECT BEST POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT FOR EITHER A FEW OR MULTIPLE SETS. HE ALSO EMPHASISES THE IMPORTANCE OF OWNERS STATING THEIR COMPLETE TV REQUIREMENTS AT AN EARLY STAGE IN ANY NEWBUILDING CONTRACT.
