To significantly help system engineers, simulation and analysis tools must improve in four ways. First, simulators must perform top-down and black-box modeling by handling blocks and parts at behavioral and functional levels. Second, simulators must handle multiple technologies to include all design elements, electrical or not. Third, they must also handle both linear and nonlinear systems. And fourth, simulators should interact easily with the user, so that adjustments to sections of the design and the results of those changes can be seen immediately. The Saber simulator from Analogy is designed to address these modeling issues.
