摘要
After a review of the conditions of deposition and the properties of the different zinc plating processes, their advantages and disadvantages are discussed, and their fields of application outlined. The properties of the coatings depend only a small degree on the nature of the electrolytes from which they are deposited. A definite improvement in the corrosion resistance is achieved by post-treatment with organic polymers: either a water soluble preparation can be used for sealing, or - where severe conditions of service are concerned, as, for example, in the case of supermarket trolleys - a stoved coating with a thickness of about 25 mu m is applied.
