Based on the continuum method of analysis, closed form solutions are obtained for the stresses and deflections of a coupled shear wall resting on flexible foundation. Both vertical and rotational foundation compliances are taken into consideration. The loadings considered include a point load at the top, a uniformly distributed load and a triangularly distributed load along the height of the building.
