摘要：
The SIMATIC S3 is a freely programmable control system providing for sequence and logic operations. The logic relationships between the inputs and outputs are formed by the input of digital instructions into the program store. The control program can be set up with the aid of a function diagram and is written in STEP 3, a simple programming language. The control system is described and reference made to its advantages and possible applications on machine tools.
