摘要
Vinyl is poised to take another bite out of aluminum's window market. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) has already established a strong presence in the residential replacement window business, while aluminum has clung to its status as the window material of choice in new construction. Now, thanks to cost competitive vinyl materials having improved physical properties teamed with new automated fabricating technology, PVC will make a bid for the new construction sector of the residential window market. This is the result of an integrated manufacturing system that enables six workers to produce up to 500 or more welded PVC single hung/slider windows per day. Cooperating in this venture is Vekaplast USA, Inc., Fombell, PA, and Sampson Machinery Co., Hauppauge, NY.
