摘要
There will be cooperative planning among DOE, EPRI, GRI, and private industry to assure as effective a national energy R&D program as possible. That program will emphasize: reduction in energy use thru improved efficiency. Increased production of domestic oil/and gas. Increased use of domestic coal thru more direct - but environmentally clean - burning and thru coal refinery plants to produce clean solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels. Development of nonfossil energy supplies by improving or better understanding nuclear safety and waste disposal, development of breeder reactors, and development of fusion power. Development of renewable energy forms such as solar and geothermal.
