摘要
It has been established that Te additions act as a strong carbide stabilizer in the structure of cast iron, improving its chilling properties. This effect of Te is often used in the production of castings with white surfaces (rolls, milling balls, etc. ). Formation of the casting structure is influenced by the effect of Te on the structure of liquid cast iron and, consequently, on its physical properties. The present publication, using the example of two types of cast iron, whose properties belong to casting cast iron (CCI) and to roll cast iron (RCI), analyzes the effect of Te on structure-sensitive characteristics of the melts. The density, viscosity, and surface tension of cast irons as functions of concentration, temperature and time were studied.
