摘要：
Dynamic compaction can consolidate a wide variety of powders to strong full density solids. Some of the required compaction parameters are considered. The resultant compacts have a unique structure of shock hardened particles bonded by rapidly solidified welds. The hardness, strength, ductility, toughness and fatigue strength that this structure gives are briefly discussed.
