EPDM (Ethylene, propylene and diene monomer) polymers have found wide use owing to resistance of their vulcanizates to ozone, heat aging and steam, along with good low temperature flexibility. When compounded with the proper fillers and curatives, they have excellent electrical properties, track resistance and radiation resistance.
