摘要
The fracture toughness of fiber reinforced concrete has been measured by testing a circumferentially notched round bar under bending. The critical stress intensity factor at the tip of crack is calculated from the bending moment at the notch at the point of failure, using the formula presented. In the tests described, it was found that, in general, fiber reinforcement of concrete leads to small increases in tensile strength and large increases in toughness.
