摘要：
The objective of the study was to develop a better method for estimating the magnitude and frequency of runoff from rural watersheds of approximately 20 square miles or less to formulate the practical requirements for the hydrologic design of small drainage structures, particularly culverts and small bridge openings, and to develop a practical prediction method for estimating peak runoff rates of various return periods for small ungaged rural watersheds throughout the United States.
