Although thermoplastic urethanes are relatively new materials in the field of textile-coating, progress has been considerable in respect to the development of their properties and workability. Melt-rolling method of processing of polyether and polyester-base polyurethanes offers novel feasibilities in the textile-coating. Many new applications of polyurethane-coated fabric have been realized, or are under development.
