Generalized definitions of both Ising and Bloch fronts are introduced based on symmetry arguments. A univerisal criterion and a generic equation for the onset of a nonequilibrium Ising-Bloch transition are demonstrated. In this context, dissipative and Hamiltonian systems are compared.
