摘要：
Hydraulic pump/motors are assuming increasing importance with the use of control units and the introduction of robots in manufacturing and processing. The authors explain the construction and operation of a new type of hydraulic pump/motor in which all the sliding members and other parts are made to 'float' in fluid to avoid metal-to-metal contact and its attendant wear.
