A stable, single longitudinal mode operation of a LD pumped Nd: YAG microchip laser was obtained here. When the pulse injective current of a high power diode laser is changed from 700mA to 900 mA, or when the CW injective current of a high power diode laser is kept at 700mA but with the pumping position on the Nd:YAG microchip changed, the single longitudinal mode at 1.064 μm of the LD pumped Nd:YAG microchip laser can be seen with no mode jumping occurred.
