Observation of transitions from inner-shell 2s2p63l states in neon-like ions

摘要：
The region where the strongest lines from inner-shell excited neon-like ions are predicted to appear has been carefully investigated in spectra of Sc, Ti and V. Previously unidentified lines close to the predicted positions have been found, and the appearance of the titanium and vanadium lines as a function of the ionisation conditions has been compared to other lines of different charge states. This has led to the identification of 8 lines. The isoelectronic trend does not agree with some previous identifications in chromium and iron.
