摘要：

Coal deposits in Soviet Central Asia are located in the territory of three Union Republics: Uzbekistan, Kirghizia, and Tadjikistan. So far 8 coal districts have been explored, comprising 40 deposits. The total coal reserves suitable for open pit mining amount to 1. 87 billion t, including 1. 5 billion t at Angren deposit. In 1977, coal output amounted to 10. 4 Mt (including 5. 6 mt from open pit mines). output from Angren deposit is about 4. 6 Mt per annum.
