STUDY OF WORK ASSIGNMENTS IN FLOW LINE.

In the conventional way, we put emphasis on the line balancing efficiency in designing a highly efficient manual flow line. In this report the author presents a new method of designing a manual flow line by the optimum division of work. The author analysed this method under the following two conditions; (1) Time taken to complete each elemental work differs according to the normal distribution and (2) Operators become proficient in each elemental work and tact time is so set as to make output the largest.
