Krupp Koppers has constructed a battery consisting of the largest ovens in the world for Mannesmannroehren-Werk in Duisburg-Huckingen: height 7. 85 m, length 18. 00 m, width 0. 55 m, effective volume 70 m**3. Oven volume has been increased by approximately 40%. The loss in production due to selection of a chamber width of 550 mm has been compensated for by increasing the height and length parameters.
