摘要
Long sea outfalls provide a means of ensuring that the effluent discharge reaches a predestined suitable point; computer modelling techniques, now being developed to a high level of reliability, can predict just how the effluent will become assimilated and dispersed. This article discusses the simulation of the initial discharge of effluent from an outfall in the context of a new Random Walk Plume model.
