Corrosion tests were carried out to investigate the possibility of employing welded joints in the cladding layer of Duplex steels in food processing engineering, particularly in wine making, which involves chlorine-containing solutions and various organic compounds. Absolute corrosion resistance of the welded joints of the cladding layer in the media tested has been established for specimens made by the method of principal alloying, and also by the method of additional alloying.
