Reaction behavior of vacuum residua catalytic cracking

The reaction behavior of residua catalytic cracking was investigated in a fixed fluid bed reactor by using CRC-1 catalyst. Experimental results showed that the thermal cracking reaction increased, while the hydrogen transfer and the isomerization reaction decreased with increase of the vacuum residua concentration in feedstocks and the time lasting of the reaction in the process of catalytic cracking. The stability of products would be drawdown. So the techniques of short contact time and quick-speed oil-gas separation in residua catalytic cracking should be taken. There was no obvious interaction in the process of catalytic cracking between vacuum gas oil (VGO) and residuum. They kept their individual contribution of coke formation as if they were cracked.
