摘要
An integrated ceiling is defined as a pre-engineered package of complementary components that provide a variety of functions including structural system, lighting, acoustical control, fire contol, and air distribution. The development of integrated ceilings are explored and the available types and their role in energy conservation are described. The advantages and disadvantages of various types including their limitations are discussed. The outlook for the future is also presented.
