摘要
Thirty years of developing commercial nuclear power have resulted in an immense volume of information, much of it highly technical. The author asserts that since the public is unable to digest much of the available material, it is up to the nuclear industry to make known what is established, to answer the public's concerns with facts and to justify the industry's beliefs that nuclear power is needed, is beneficial and will continue to be available for centuries. Specific questions covered in the discussion include the rationale, the safety and the long term promise of nuclear power.
