摘要
The energy characteristics of diffuser channels and their dependence on the form of the profile of velocity at the inlet cross section are investigated. The diagram of the diffuser and the process in the is-diagram corresponding to it are used for this purpose. It is concluded that a nonuniform inlet profile of velocities exerts a decisive influence on the form of theprofile of velocity in the outlet cross section of the diffuser; but internal losses (if flow does not separate from the walls) are bound to vary to a lesser extent.
