Plastic interaction of deformed blank and tool surface roughness

摘要
Plastic deformation of a blank by a tool surface with different shapes of roughness is analyzed. The range of tool wear resistance increase resulted from surface relief optimization is considered. It is shown that the working surface interaction with the blank materials is dictated by pressure, local temperatures and flowing character of material under working along the contact surfaces, as well as nature and physical and chemical properties of interacting surfaces. The examples of sheet stamping of 20KhN3A steel and L68 brass through the punch of 5KhNM and 17Kh18N10T steels.
