摘要
Monitor wells are placed around an in situ leach mine to alleviate the potential for groundwater degradation. Such monitoring systems are the result of regulatory requirements or theoretical hydrologic concepts, irrespective of geologic anisotropies. Certain geologic factors can influence the groundwater regime and, therefore, markedly affect the adequacy of groundwater monitoring systems.
