Elevator world reported that the American Society of Civil Engineers planned to organize the APM'01 conference at San Francisco on July 8-11, 2001. The conference was supposed to deal with various issues on urban planning. A new concept of urbanism based on pedestrian-oriented mini city was reported. Various aspects relating to design, development of regions or communities on the basis of human needs were also addressed.
