摘要
Better motion control is central to technological improvement in factory automation. The key factory operations are in moving: raw materials, work in process, process materials, finished products, or tooling. Major gains in automation will come from the most clever ways to provide that motion; that is, the best ways to program and control position, speed, acceleration, force and torque. This article discusses developments and applications of electrical, mechanical and fluid power drives.
