A mathematical model of the system of cathodic protection of a pipeline section with a view to the effect of the adjacent sections was constructed. The solution was obtained for determination of the length of the zone of protection, intensity of the protective current, and resistance of the insulation according to the potential difference between the equipment and the soil surface.
