摘要
The available range of cold work steels for sheet forming is considerable. Some hot work steels are also being used to an increasing extent for cold work tools. A special group consists of titanium carbide alloys featuring high hardness and produced by powder metallurgy. Toughness and wear resistance determine the resistance to fracture of a tool. Coating methods have opened up possibilities of advantageously combining these material properties.
