Results of the effect of the temperature and of the time of isothermal soaking, cooling, and of the austenitizing temperature of 38KhS steel in the austempering process on the physical properties and structure of the steel are reported. It is shown that reliable quality control of austempering work by a bridge method is feasible only when the height, slope, and shape of the Lissajous figures are examined simultaneously.
