摘要
The program presented in this study is designed to convert lengths, velocity heads, length/diameter ratio, and valve characteristics into consistent units and then sum them for the user, using the TI-59 calculator. The program is written to calculate pressure drop when flow rate and system characteristics are given. This facilitates fitting-by-fitting evaluation of piping. Pipe diameter or flow rate can be determined by iteration if pressure drop is to be specified. Reasonable accuracy can be expected for essentially noncompressible flow of gas or liquids in the laminar and turbulent regimes.
