摘要
A recurrent problem in our research on Video on Demand has been the economic viability. Economic viability mandates the maximum number of subscribers being serviced with the existing infrastructure. In this paper we propose information caching as the key to make Video on Demand lucrative. We examine the outstanding research issues in the context of implementation of Video on Demand on cable TV networks. © R. Oldenbourg Verlag.
