Investigation of nonlinear correction methods for digital signals

摘要
Analytic expressions are derived for determination of the wrong-decision probability after nonlinear correction in transmission of digital signals through a transmission strip with a Gaussian response. Curves of wrong-decision probability vs. signal immunity and transmission strip response parameters are given for three types of correctors. Comparative efficiency ratings and ranges of usefulness are given for the correctors.
