摘要
Waveguides using two different multistep mode conversion sequences are described. Computations and measurements on mode converter systems of both types are reorted, at 70 GHz and 140 GHz, respectively. These devices are of interest for transmitting power for plasma startup and electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) for magnetic confinement fusion research and for plasma production in industrial processes, such as isotope separation.
