It is established that structural changes occurring as a result of high-temperature thermomechanical treatment increase considerably the role of the cyclic strength of a type of spring steel. It becomes possible to realize increased strength in conditions of cyclic loading only when the material possesses an increased margin of plasticity. This can be obtained as a result of the formation of a developed substructure (a favorable distribution of dislocations).
