摘要
The kinetics of Ti and Mo dissolution and variations in properties of binary Ti-Mo alloy surface alloys with their compositions are studied under potentiostatic exposures in active potential areas. The alloy dissolution is shown to be controlled by the β-phase content. The less the β-phase content, the higher the rate of Ti dissolution and the less the Mo concentration in solution. Corrosion of two-phase Ti-Mo alloys is purely phase-selective. Accumulation of the Mo-rich phase on the surface does not retard the rate of Ti and Mo anodic dissolution. Anodic efficiency of binary Ti-Mo alloys is affected not only by the Mo content and alloy structures, but by the Mo enrichment in surface layers as well.
