Computation of the bulky and surfacial content of structural components of Ni-B melt depending on temperature

The bulky contents of [Ni], [B], [NiB], [Ni2B], and [Ni4B3] structural components in the Ni82B18 melt are determined by the model of ideal solutions of interaction products and methodology of thermodynamic simulation. The computing methods of composition of the surface monolayer at different temperatures are given by using the assumptions on adsorption and mechanism of surface layer formation. It is found that the results of evaluation of N/B ratio are in agreement with the data of x-ray electron spectroscopy.
