摘要
This paper describes the results of a study into high-temperature noncatalytic conversion of methane in regenerative gas heaters with pebble bed matrix of pure corundum. Experimentally obtained relationships are given between the converted gas composition and the temperature distribution in the gas heater matrix. Consideration is given to possible ways of raising the efficiency of gas heating in regenerative gas heaters with pebble bed matrix. Some schemes for the utilization of high-temperature reducing gas in ferrous metallurgy are analyzed.
