Moduli of rapid and slow elastic deformation and maximum plastic viscosity of the system, Mangyshlak oil tar - tetracosan (n-C//2//4M//5//0), for different concentrations of the latter and different temperatures, are determined. It is found that 5 and 40 mass % constitute critical concentrations of the mixture, at which a stepwise change in the structural and mechanical properties of the system takes place. A hypothesis is made about the transition of the paraffins at these points from the dissolved state to the aggregated state. The application of the oil tar mixture as a means to present the freezing together of dry materials is mentioned.
