摘要
Source coding problems are considered for two types of multiterminal communication systems with a remote source. For the D. Slepian-J. K. Wolf-type system, inner and outer bounds are obtained on the admissible rate region to attain a prescribed distortion tolerance. For the A. D. Wyner-J. Ziv-type system, the rate-distortion function is derived. As examples, a Gaussian remote source and a binary remote source are analyzed.
