To obtain the higher qualities of wax (light oxidized and esterified) an indispensible step is deresinification, during which both the physical and chemical properties of the wax change. The present investigation was devoted to the study of the change in the chemical composition of crude peat wax on deresinification. The results are given of a comparative investigation of the chemical compositions of crude and deresinified peat waxes performed by chromatographic and spectroscopic methods.
