摘要
This paper describes radio link control in the NTT-MCS-L2. This system adopts a new method of channel control for the paging channel called Multi-transmitter Simul/Sequential Casting (MSSC). This method provides such advantages as wide-area paging via simultaneous broadcasting, improvement of mobile location accuracy, and efficient access-channel utilization. A paging channel design employing MSSC is discussed, Idle-signal Casting Multiple Access with Data-slot Reservation (ICMA-DR) has been adopted in the access channel. Some of its characteristics are compared with those of another multiple access method.
