Processes of generation of ultradispersed diamond phase (UDP) of carbon under detonation of heterogeneous mixtures of octogen with liquid organic additives have been studied experimentally. 40 various organic compound is studied as additives to the explosives. The detonation rate, amount of condensed carbon and UDP fraction in it have been measured during experiments being carried out in the hermetic steel chamber. Peculiarities of molecular structure of additives as well as loading parameters were shown to influence significantly on the process of nucleation and growth of the diamond phase. The qualitative dependence of UDP dispersion on thermodynamic parameters has been found.
